Teenagers Involved in MySpace Extortion Scheme |
|
Two New York teenagers threaten MySpace in an extortion scheme and are charged with two felony counts of illegal computer access and one count of attempted extortion. Basically they hacked into the site and stole personal information from the users and said they would release the information unless they were paid $ 150 000. Is it just me or does that seem a bit low? Well it didn’t matter because they were arrested by two undercover officers posing as MySpace employees while traveling to LA for the payoff. With all the different ways you can make money from the Internet people are still using extortion as their business plan. |
